Amongst the anticipation of edging closer to our moving in date, the weekend provided much needed time for us to ensure that we were meeting our DIY to do list.
This weekends captures are home/interior orientated and, in all honesty, my content probably will lean in more towards that ‘genre’ (if you will) as we are embarking on a new chapter for our families. This weekend has taught me the true value of family space and home as we have all been in the cottage together, enjoying the little things in life. On Saturday we had a busy home as the plumbers and painter were working hard on our home. I can now rejoice in the fact that we have a washing machine and tumble dryer fitted and I am so appreciative to have my own cleaning station in the Utility. For two years I have been traipsing our family’s laundry in bin bags to my Dad’s and my Mother-in-Law’s houses. But now I don’t need to feel as though I am constantly living out of my car with a ‘on-the-go’ laundrette service: I can jauntily meander over to the cottage and put a wash on whenever the need arises – woohoo!

Sunday was a very quiet day as we stayed at the cottage, played with our well-beloved Peppa Pig Memory Game, spent a lot of time pretending to play schools as well as preparing our chameleon for this weekend’s scarecrow festival. Ben, whilst we were busying ourselves, was working relentlessly on our home in anticipation of the painter returning today, along with the shutter company installing the long-awaited shutters. I am planning on doing a little house update post on Wednesday so be sure to subscribe (on the right hand side of the blog) to not miss out!
Have a peaceful week,
Katherine x
