Weekend Captures #3

This weekend was spent at home, working on our cottage’s kitchen cupboards in anticipation of moving in next month!

In a slightly different style this week, and to avoid repeating myself, both Saturday and Sunday were spent at home, dying the wood of our kitchen cupboards an American Walnut colour by Colron. We wanted the internal kitchen cupboards to have a ‘lived in’, distressed look and so we applied a coat of this dye before sanding lightly and applying three coats of gloss varnish. I have to admit, I am rather impressed with the results! Olivia loved being at home in our cottage and even took to doing a spot of painting herself on a spare piece of pine wood using acrylics. I decided to have a range of photographs of our kitchen this weekend, in its raw, unfiltered form.
